Does Pancreatitis Cause Diarrhea Along With Abdominal Bloating And Excessive Sleepiness?

My husband has diabetes. The past two weeks he has symptoms of, diarrhea, bloating, he gets full fast. Sleeps a lot. His RBS 130. He takes Metforman 1 gram bid and Glucophage 5 my bid. I m worried he may be getting pancreatitis. He has had a rash on both ankles. Looks like Patykei.

How do you know that he is suffering from pancreatitis??

Is he suffered previously with that problem??

Yes it is possible that pancreatitis patients may develop loose motion, due to insufficient level if pancreatic lipase or amylase etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Please check his serum amylase or lipase , get ultrasound abdomen.

Avoid fatty food, eat low quantity food with increased frequency.

Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.

If symptoms not improved please consult your gastroentrologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
