Does Periods Become Normal After Treatment Of Ovarian Cyst?

Hi..I had my period on 21st of February 2014 & I bled for more than 7 days.i went to myob-gyn & found that I had a small cyst on my right lower womb.was given noresthisterone to take for 2 weeks & had finished the course on 21st of march & the cyst is gone. I then had my period on the 23rd march evening. I wishto ask whether my period will end on its own & not over bleed like last month. And will I bleed even more. My ob-gyn hasn t put me on any medication as he has asked me to monitor my period & to only see him should I bleed more than 7 days...please help advise me...thank you.

Hello,

Your period is expected to normalize. There is nothing to be worried. If bleeding persists, follow up with your ObGyn.

Hope this answers your query
