Does Prednisone Have Withdrawal Effects?

My dermatologist prescribed prednisone for poison ivy. After completing the first round within a couple days I started itching. She had me refill the prescription. I finished it a couple of days ago but now itch on my forearms and legs. Is the itching from a type of withdrawal from the medication?

Prednisone is a steroid , it has immuno-suppressive property . By it's action it will reduce the itching sensation . But itching is not withdrawal effect , it just means you need to take it for few more days or use some anti histaminics or some calamine lotions over it . Ask your doctor for this .
