Does Presence Of Blood After Urinating Indicate UTI?

Hi and thank you for taking my question. About three weeks ago, I began feeling a bladder/urinary sensation that once started has never stopped. It is not painful, but somewhere between tingling and burning. Two weeks ago I started noticing small amounts of pale blood on the tissue after urinating, which got slightly worse after a Pap smear last week. Yesterday I noticed grainy blood spots both on tissue and in bowl as well as a darker tinge to the blood that I had previously been experiencing, both of which are worse this morning. Sensation is also more prevalent though still not painful. Is this a UTI?

Hello,

Your symptoms can be related to a urinary tract infection.

I suggest doing a urine test, a urine culture and an abdominal ultrasound for further evaluation.

Meanwhile, I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.
