Does Pressure In Ears Cause Increase In Blood Pressure ?

I am a 58 yr old female, on Losartan meds, and just recently, last few days, I have been taking my bp and I am running about 151/82, and I have pressure in my ears for no reason. Do I need to see my dr. to re-evaluate my meds and strengths? And would pressure in ears have anything to do with higher blood pressure?

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding pressure in ear and your suspition is that it is due to blood pressure.

Here I would like to tell you that some times hypertension may give feeling of heaviness in ears but there are other factors also for this like-

1- Eustachian tube disfunction- very common in patients having cold.

2- Impacted wax in ear.

Therefore it will be better to consult your ENT doctor for further management.

Regards.
