Does Pubic Hair Indicate Growth Spurt?

I am a boy that just turned 15 this week. I have pubic hair and hair from puberty in most places that I should have it in. I would like to know of I have hit my growth spurt because I have this hair. I think the reason I have this hair is because my dad and his side of the family are hairy. Right now I am 5'6 am up to this point my growth has been very slow and steady. I find it impossible to think that at 5'6 I'm done growing or even close to done at all. There has been no sudden increase in growth . There are reasons that I think I am not done growing one is that I wear a size 12 shoe. I heard from someone that having really big feet at my age means that I will be tall or at least is an indicator. Another reason is because my moms side of the family is tall. My uncle is 6'3 my aunt is 5'10 and my grandma is 5'10 and so is my grandpa. My mom is 5'7 and my dad is 5'8 or 5'9 but I also heard that there are plenty of cases in which your parents don't need to be tall in order for you to be tall. I also have scoliosis so I have taken x rays on my back and hand which I know can show growth . X rays from about 6 months show little maturity in my hand or back but recent x rays from about this month show more maturity in my hips. I told the doctor that had not had a growth spurt yet and she said that I will probably just have a late growth spurt and not to worry about it. I am due for a hand x ray in the spring . I guess my question is in your expert opinion, am I done growing , have I hit my growth spurt? I know you can't predict my future growth but if you could give me your best opinion I would appreciate it. I find it hard to believe that I'm even close to done growing but my friends tell me that since I have the hair I won't be tall and am done growing but it doesn't make sense because of the reasons I listed before . Please give me your opinion thanks. Also I am a baseball player and am active and for all year and so it is important to be taller and grow for that especially in high school. Please let me know. Thank you.

Hi thanks for your question at HCM.
I do understand your concerns.
Pubic hair is the sign of puberty and with puberty there will be growth spurt. Usually puberty is late in boys as compared to girls. Since its started, you ll grow more and this is not the end.
I do understand that you want to grow taller, which will happen but dont run behind the numbers as its genetically determined. By the heights of your parents it can be predicted that you can grow anywhere between 160 to 180cms. So dont be worried since your growth spurt has just begun you will grow more.
Hope this answers your concern..
