Does Pus Cell 0-1/hpf Cause Stomach Pain In A 11 Years Old Child?
Hi Doctor.
Im a single mom of an 11years old son. My concern is that hes having stomach pain for 2weeks now. I brought him to the hospital twice already. Been checked his stool and cbc and found that he had amoebiasis. So they gave him prescription of antibiotic (for 7days and good bacteria. He already finished his antibiotic diarrhea is cured. But the pain is still there. We went for another stool checked and found out that theres a pus cell 0-1/hpf. What does this mean? Is this the cause why my son has having stomach pain?? His pedia told me that its nothing. But I cant believe that because my son is still in pain. Help me pls.. I need another doctors opinion and its highly appreciated. Im from Philippines anyway. God bless

i think what you need to observe is the possibility that certain kind of foods are troubling him, like milk etc. when there is allergy to food, the child may have loosestools, abdominal cramps, especially after eating the food, and sometimes vomitting associated with loosestools.
as for the stool report, that is normal and u need not worry.
i woud really like to know which part of the stomach is most painful, is there any tenderness- pain on touching?
