Does Ramipril Causes Aggravated Cough,sore Throat And Blocked Nose?

Have been taking ramipril 2.5mg for about a week. have developed terrible cold with all symptoms, sore throat, aching, chesty cough, dry mouth, lack of sleep, blocked nose. Would ramipril have worsened these symptoms. I have never felt this rough with a simple cold before....

Hello,

Usually, the use of ACE inhibitors is associated with dry coughing and cold symptoms.

In such cases, after getting a physical examination to rule out respiratory problems, if nothing, we advise patients to stop using ramipril.

So, the same for you, check with your primary physician for these respiratory issues, then, discuss dry coughing as the side effect of ramipril.
