Does Reducing Paxil Dosage Cause Sudden Fainting?

Yes, My regular doctor reduce my Paxil dosage last November, because I omplaind of loosing hair. He thought it was side effect of this medication. I have been using Paxil for 10+ years at 20mg, he reduced it at 10mg, about 4 weeks later at a party I colapsed, with Blood pressure of 70/ went to ER they couldn t find anything wrong with me, i still feel lightheaded, wondering if the reduction of dosage had to do with the fainting, they did not find heart problem through EKG, Chest Xray normal, blood work normal

Paxil is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor working at a central level to control various types of mood disorders.

The sudden dose dropping is associated with alteration in the neurochemical homeostasis of the body and surely can give sudden fainting.
