Does Semen Build Up Lead To Pain In Micturition?

I used to masturbate semi regularly, once every couple of days. For the past 3 weeks I haven t at all and my girlfriend and I will mess around and I will be aroused but we always stop because I don t wanna pressure her into anything and I never come to the point of ejaculation, recently I ve been having pain when I urinate and am wondering if it is because of some semen build up? I also woke up this morning with pain in my lower abdominal region above the genitals.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The issue sounds in relation with possible prostate or seminal vesicles congestion through the practice of withholding the ejaculate.

* When you compress the internal structures forcefully for prevention of certain secretions coming outside, that creates back pressure changes over the seminal vesicles and seminiferous tubules of the testes.

* Kindly get a consultation with your family physician for a primary check-up and get medications for the same to heal early.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
