Sevista tablet contains 'ormeloxifene' as an ingredient.
It works by exerting a
contraceptive effect to normalise the bleeding.
Side effects with its intake include: Weight gain,
Vomiting, Altered menses,
Nausea and Headache.
So, weight gain and disturbance in periods what you are experiencing are certainly side effects related to the intake of Sevista.
However, these side effects are encountered with most of the oral contraceptive agents.
Most of the times, these side effects could normalise after taking the medications for about 2 to 3 months.
You need to take care of weight gain by means of diet and exercise.
Kindly discuss about these aspects by consulting Gynaecologist, if you want to change the medication that might suit you.
