Smoking is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease including stroke and heart attacks. Smokers are up to three times more likely to have a stroke than non-smokers.

Smoking is particularly dangerous for people who have high blood pressure. They are five times more likely to have a stroke than smokers with normal blood pressure, and 20 times more than non-smokers with normal blood pressure.

Here we can not say smoking is the only resion for second stroke but it can be one of the associated cause along with high blood pressure and your lifestyle.

Now since you already have got another attack then I suggest leave smoking immediately and concentrate in your treatment. Have balance food rich with protein, vitamine C and vitamine E along with omega 3 to support your health and rehabilitation.

Keep checking your blood pressure regularly and if it stays high then consult your doctor to check on medication for it.

I am sure you have got your answer.
Take care.
