Does Sunburn Cause Swelling In Ankles And Calves?

Two days ago, I was in the sun for several hours and got sunburn on my knees and lower legs. Now I ve developed swelling in the calves and ankles. Is this a side effect from the sunburn? I ve been taking ibuprofen to reduce swelling, but it has had no effect. Is there anything else to help reduce swelling?
