Does Switching Between Nuva Ring And Evra Patch Affect Menstrual Cycle?

Hi there, how are you today? I have a question for my partner. She has been using Evra Patch for almost two years, and she had always taken a period patch-free break, which is 3 weeks with patch on, and 1 week without it. At the end of her last cycle s patch free week, she decided to try Nuva Ring, which she inserted it 3 weeks ago at around Sunday 6 am. Right now it s Sunday 2:30 pm here. She took her ring out after the 3 week time frame on Sunday (today) 6 am. Now our problem is, she wants to both 1) change back to patch, and 2) skip her patch/ ring free week, in order to skip her period. She has not yet put on her patch since she took out her ring 8 hours ago. We wonder 1) if it s ok to switch between ring and patch like this without take a patch free break, 2) will it mess up her cycle, and 3) if we do put on patch right now, and change it every week, at the end of the third week what should we do?
