Does Tailbone, Leg And Back Pain With Possible Infection Need ER Admission?

My doctor referred me to a specialist for my pain in my low back, my tailbone actually. He did x rays and thinks it may be an infection. I can t get in until Oct. 14th. Should I wait or go to the ER and be tested? This pain started in my left leg after a gallbladder removal surgery. I still have the pain in my leg and now my back too.

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are having chronic backache and doctor thought you are having infection. You need to do MRI lumber spine to see details about it. If it is really infection then you should not delay your treatment. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
