Does Taking Estradiol Cause Weight Loss?

I am age 50, surgical menopausal, on Estradiol .5 mg, and weigh 100 lbs. Could the Estradiol be a reason why I am losing weight and having a hard time gaining? What can I do to pick up weight? Other things about me: lactose intolerant, eat only fish, chicken, and turkey.
