Does Taking Nitrofurantoin And A Magnesium Supplement Together Cause Constant Diarrhea?
I have been taking nitrofurantoin mono MCR 100 mg for a UTI. I also take magnesium tablets (around 275 mg/day). I ve been having constant diarrhea for the past few days & am wondering if the RX is causing it or the combination of RX plus magnesium tablets.

As per my clinical experience, it is not the combination of the nitro with magnesium, but the sole effects of nitro over the intestine flora upset to give diarrhea.
Addition of probiotics is mandatory here to cure the side effect.
