Does Taking Prozac 20mg Cause Pale Stool And Tiredness?
My 24 year old son has depression (not most severe, he also often very happy). He started taking one Prozac 20mg per day one month and just recently has had very pale stools, twice. He said it makes him tired and wants to stop taking this....He is not at all suicidal. He just gets anxious and depressed, but is also because taking masters degree course at university in London....
Anxiety and depression can affect all areas of life even if the person is not depressed. As you may have noticed, depression is associated with a lack of energy and drive and would affect his ability to get his work done if not treated.
There are a number of different anti depressants, anti anxiety medications available so if this one does not agree with him, there are other options available to help him
He should discuss any problems that he is experiencing with the medication with his doctor and an alternative suggested that may agree with him
In most cases, the medication is temporary and his doctor can also teach coping techniques to help deal with any stress he may be facing
I hope this helps
