Does Taking A Turmeric Supplement Along With Multaq, Metoprolol, Lisinopril And Levothyroxine Cause Drug Interactions?

I am currently on multaq, metoprolol, lisinopril, levothyroxin, metformin, fenofibrate, and alprazolam. Am thinking of taking turmeric supplement as I have heard a lot about the benefits of taking it. My pharmacist says it won t interact with my meds. Is this correct? Is there anything that would interact with turmeric that I should know about?

Hello,

Turmeric is not the pharmaceutical agent or not the active chemical agent.

So it does not interact with the medicines you are taking, some pharmaceutical molecules which is used for some disease can only interact with other molecules but it is true that turmeric does not interact.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
