Does Taking Arimidex Cause Cramping Of Legs And Feet?

I am taking arimidex...the side effects are HORRIBLE. Sept. will be one year on the med. I have been diagnosed with divurticulosous, the divurticulitis, have had 2 bladder infections with bladder spasms. 4 weeks ago the muscle and joint aches and pains began. 2 weeks ago the VERY BAD night time leg and feet cramps....they wake me up, scream in pain and they last 3-8 minutes each. Is the cramping a side effect of the med.?

Hello,

cramping is not a documented side-effect of arimidex. Has it started right after taking it for the first time? Do you have orthopedic or neurological problems? Most of the times no cause can be identified, but you should definitely check the blood electrolytes. Sodium, potassium and magnesium are the most important ones.
