Does Taking Enoxaparin Cause Passage Of Blood Clots?

Dear madam, I had two times of miscarriage happened earlier. After third times pregnancy reading of sonography result, doctor told baby is good and normal. he advised to take one Enoxaparin 40ml and one injection Lonopin -40 for 7 months. however, after taking one Enoxaparin on the date of doctor advice little of black clot blood passed out. Because doctor advice me just one day before, lonopin - 40 injection could not be injected due to non availability. So I have to wait only one day after doctor advice for Lonopin - 40. All these happened with 12 hours of sonography and doctor s advice. Can you kindly suggest me or advice me is that black blood clot is due to miscarriage or for taking enoxaparin40?? Pls infor me immediately. Regards Anwesha.

Hello Anwesha,

the straightforward answer is that your should talk with the gynecologist immediately. Although treatment with anticoagulants may indeed magnify small bleeding events, bleeding when pregnant is an ominous sign which requires immediate clarification. Lonopin is a drug that contains enoxaparin as its active ingredient. Lonopin and enoxaparin are essentially the same drug.

Also please note that the ultrasound scan cannot possibly cause bleeding unless the examiner is blatantly unskilled. The probe may however move or dislodge preformed clots and make it seem like if it caused the bleeding.

I hope it helps!
Best of luck with your pregnancy!
