Does Taking Gonorrhea And Chlamydia Test After Finishing Bactrim Course Affect Results?
I had finished taking bactrim 10 days ago and then had std testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia,could the antibiotic affect my test results even if I was done taking them 10 days ago? I want the test to be accurate and it came back negative and I don t want to test again and have results change.

Bactrim ( Co-Trimoxazole), has effect against Gonorrhea and Chlamydia though it is not a drug of choice to treat those condition. Resistance to Bactrim is also a well known fact. In spite of that we can not rule out the possibility of a course of Bactrim would affect the out come of these tests. But you had the same 19 days ago. It would unlikely to have effect on these test at present.
