Does Taking Sporanox During Pregnancy Affects Baby?
i took sporanox whilenim pregnant
i wasnt planning to get pregnant and my dr wrote for me sporonax because ofcontinues dischaeges i took on
29- aug two capsuls and on 29 aug another two capsuls as my dr told me to take 4 capsuls within 24 hours
and after one week i took nother two which was 5 sept
then i found out that im pregnant
my last period was on 9th of aug
will this affect my baby.
if yes what side effects it may cause

Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Sporanox - itraconazole, is pregnancy Category C.
It can cause birth defects in the baby, however, you have taken very few capsules, and that too, quite early.
Take daily 5 mg per day folic acid supplements.
I do no think there is any risk to your child.
