Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM.
Welcome to Health Care Magic.
My name is Dr Muhammad Ahmad & i will look into your problem.
I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way.
If you had mentioned what mood changes are you talking about then we could have told you a better reason of suspect for it.
Changes from Valparin:
It can cause
hallucinations, loss or increased sleep or mood swings in less than 10% of people and that too is more evident and frequent in those who take it for prolonged time your doctor just prescribed her for 10 days and that too you haven't completed so we don't think it is because of valparin...it can be but theoretically there are rare chances of this happening
NOT TO FORGET:
Don't forget that she is 10 in this age girls are entering the age of
puberty, every thing turns upside down hormone levels in their blood is as high as ever ,these hormones change them physically and they change them mentally as well, there are usually remarkable changes in behagvior, sleep habit, responces, temper, and every other behavioural or psychological parameter you can talk of so you don't have to stop giving her meds it's just 10 days and all will be over.
Suggestion:
This back and ask your self is your daughter entering the puberty storm ? if yes then she will need guidance and care.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow
up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing Her good health
