Hi,

Anti-TB medications are generally well tolerated by most patients however acne can occur as a side effect of rifampin one of the anti-TB medications that you have been taking.

Other common side effects of anti-TB medications include orange colored urine, saliva or tears, redness and itching of the skin in sunlight, peripheral neuritis, joint pains, flu like symptoms, and liver injury.

You must report to your doctor if you develop symptoms of liver injury like fever, right upper abdominal pain, vomiting, and jaundice.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
