Does Tendonitis Cause Sharp Pain In The Hips While Walking?
My left hip has very sharp pains when I walk or flex. It has been going on for 12 days. I thought maybe I had hip bursitis, but after seeing Dr he had me get an Xray and they said no fracture or dislocation, but I had moderate ostoarithritis. Told he could give me a pain prescription, but I only take Ibuprofin when needed. Could I have tendonitis, or what kind of a doctor, should I go to?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. The pain in the hip that you have can be related to bursitis or a labrum tear. MRI scan will help in diagnosis. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
