Does Tenoric-25 Cause Weight Gain, headache And Inflammation In Body?
Have been taking tenoric-25, for the last more than 5years. My BP remains 128/78. Now feels some gain in weight & headache including inflammation in body. Is , this the side effects of taking this regularly , and what should I do now to feel healthy . My age is 64.
It is unlikely to cause weight gain or inflammation in the body. Tenoric-25 is a combination of beta blockeratenolol and water pill cholorthalidone commonly prescribed to treat high blood pressure.
Its common side effects include decreased heartbeat, fatigue, cold and clammy skin, decreased blood potassium, increased uric acid and lipid levels. It does not cause weight gain. Weight gain could be due to other causes such as hypothyroidism for which you need to consult your doctor for further evaluation.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
