Does The Pain , Swelling In Joints And Stiffness Comes With Age?

I am looking for a physician to help me with pain in my joints. My fingers swell at times and are very painful. I am 65 yrs old and was very active until a few yrs ago when all this pain stopped me. My GP says this pain and stiffness comes with age. I think he's nuts. The only medication I take is advair for asthma.

Hi.after going through your medical history ,I have some questions for you 1.do you pain and stiffness more in the morning I.e. difficulty in making a fist in the morning. 2.joints are affected mainly of both hands I.e.small joints. Please get blood tests for R.A.factor&s.uric acid . If all above mentioned findings are positive , you might be having rheumatoid arthritis. Wishing you good health and please do reply.
