Does The Testicle Knot With Pain Need Medical Attention?
Hit by the corner of a board that slipped off a belt sander catching me just just above and to the left of testicles, had a major bruise, but the bruise is gone and now I have a knot there and pretty major pain, can still walk but pain level is about a 7. Should I be concerned?
Hi. Thank for your query. Noted your history of a trauma to the part just above the testis with a major bruise which has resolved well but there is pain of the severity of 7/10 and have a knot. This means that you have developed a local fibrosis wherein the nerve has got entrapped into causing you such a severe pain. Another possibility is of testicular torsion which needs very urgent attention by means of urgent color doppler and ultrasonography examination, examination by a Urologist and surgery if needed urgently if there is a testicular torsion. If there is scar formation and nerve entrapment, one may need conservative treatment to start with and surgery only if required.
