Does Thyrotoxicosis Manifest Spontaneous Episodes Of Nasal Bleeding ?

I am seeing a 18 year old with mild thyrotoxicosis T4 = 26 ( normal 16 - 21 ) and TSH = she complains of spontaneous episodes of nasal bleeding . no h/o trauma. is this a manifestation of thyrotoxicosis. she is on 2.5 mg of carmimazole asince one week started by her GP. nasal inspection is showing a congested nasal septum.

HI. Yes it can. Stop carbimazole till the reports confirm there are no problems related to it. Patient has to go for a complete blood picture including bleeding time , clotting time, platelet count , prothrombine time . Consult the Doctor ASAP.
