Does Tongue Piercing Cause Swelling Below My Jaw?

I got my tonuge pierced last night and it hasn t really hurt or been too swollen. I have been taking anti inflammatory medication and rinsing with salt water as instructed. but today after lunch, i noticed that there is a swollen gland, kinda feels like a tiny ball, under my jaw. it doesnt hurt unless I touch it, bu tknowing that it is swollen, I am a bit concerned. is this normal?

After going through your query I concluded that you have tongue bite. It is not much painful and swollen. Now you have noticed that one of glands below your jaw is swollen. Don't worry it is normal to have enlargement of gland after tonge bite in response to inflammation or infection. These are not painful then nothing is to be done. If it further enlarge then you have to visit doctor to know other causes of lymph gland enlargement. You can discuss your doctor about it. Hope your query get answered.
