Does Tonsillectomy Cause Loss Of Immunity?

MY CHILD HAVE BEEN GOING TRU TONSILITIS FOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS. DOCTOR SAID THAT HE HAS CHRONIC TONSILITIS AND HE IS IN DIRE NEED OF A TONSILECTOMY. DOCTORS HAVE TRIED SEVERAL ANTIBIOTICS ON HIM . HE WAS TAKEN PIPSO AND NOW AMOXYLLIN. IF WE DO TONSILECTOMY THEN WILL HE LOSE IMMUNITY?

Tosillectomy has no relation to immune suppression.
When the tonsills are repeatedly infected better to get rid of them.
