Does Tretiva-10 Capsules Affect The Reproductive System And Cause Dry Skin?
i am taking tretiva-10 capsules from last 2-3 days as prescribed by my doctor. I have to continue it for 1 month. My skin started drying out too much and it lookes like scales of fish now. I am afraid whether to continue this because i also heard that it will affect the reproductive system. Please help me in deciding whether to continue this

Hi,
Yes, Isotretinoin will cause dryness of skin and also lips. It is a common side effect. Scaling of skin and lip cracks can occur due to dryness. This drug can cause fetal birth defects when used in pregnant women. Hence, it is advised not to plan for pregnancy while taking the drug. After a period of 3 to 6 months,pregnancy is encouraged.
