Does Warfarin Cause Hot Flushes And Night Sweats?

I had a dvt in april and now on warfarin, i am 52yrs and had no menopausal symptoms but as soon as i went on the warfarin i started having hot flushes, a week or two later, night sweats and day sweats, waking every two hours like clockwork, and a feeling of lowness and anziety. Has the warfarin caused these symptoms or is the fact that my blood is thinner affecting the hormone imbalance in my body.?

Hello,

Warfarin does not cause such symptoms. These could be due to menopause itself, just started simultaneously when you started on warfarin. Thus, wait and watch if it is too bothersome then get a check up done for the hormonal levels so we can get to know the status and if hormone replacement would help or not.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
