Done Lab Tests. Is It DM Type 2 Or DI?

Good day. Im a freshman student. I just want to confirm about my case study on my diagnosis. Is it DM type 2 or DI? lab results are as follows: 58 yr old, obese, frequent urination notes. random plasma glucose: 225 mg/dL urinalysis result: pale/ clear, ph 6.0, 1.025 spec grav, 2+ glucose, negative for ketones , blood, bilirubin, nitrites, urobilinogen, and leukocyte esterase thank you :)

HI, Welcome to HCM, I am Dr. Das
First of all,the random blood glucose , though it is high but for stumping a patient as havinng DM2, you have to do minimum 2 random plasma glucose level of more than 200 mg/dl.
For DI you have to do plasma Na,K, and urinary Na,K.
NOw, urine, it is acidic. It contains glucose. So, there is high chance of urinary tract infection which is most common in patient with DM.
My suggestion is do a fasting and PP sugar level and then go for the tests for DI. It will clear the picture.
