Dose Calamine Lotions Help To Relieve Anal Fissure?
I have a specific question. There s a split above the butt (above the anal cavity) and there s blood but not severe. I m guessing it s a tear, and not a anal fissure either. What is it and should Calamine Lotion be effective to close the torn skin, since it s not bacterial??
It may be a minimal laceration but as it is around the anal area I would recommend taking extra care of hygiene . For that I would suggest Sitz bath which is sitting in a bath tub with warm water for 15 mins daily... Also take plenty of fruits and vegetables and maintain a good hydration level to avoid constipation as it may exert pressure on your wound. Calamine lotion would not be of much use in your condition....although I do suggest local application of polyfax ointment twice daily. Please consult your local physician if the wound persists,or in case of any discharge or pain.
I hope this answers your question. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns. Wishing you good health
