Drained And Healed Perianal Abscess, Presents With Folliculitis With Formations Of Abscess. Some Helpful Suggestions ?

43 male, married ,presented with perianal abscess ( drained and healed) later presents with folliculitis with further formations of abscesses. Has a tendency of forming infection in follicles. I have tried conservative means : Antibiotics , personal hygiene , avoiding perfumes oils and other irritants , not shaving but clipping of body hair , have tried stopping of alcohol. But he comes with new boils and many of them . Can you please suggest some management that can be help ful Thank you

Hello
Thanks for your query.You had a Perianal abscess which was drained and healed completely.However you get boils and Folliculitis repeatedly.This is to the Infective focus being present in your body.Please get Culture and sensitivity of the sample of a pus from boil This will help in finding the type of Organisms (Bacteria) causing the infection and to take a appropriate antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.Please do take care of personal hygiene.Consult surgeon for medications and further treatment.
