Early Periods, Milk Leaking From Breast. Never Been Pregnant. What Could Be Wrong?

Hi i am 21 years old, i went swimming today and after that i realized that my period had just came on and milk was leaking from my breast, and my period is like 5 days early, but it has been a couple of days early before, i have realized that i have leaked milk before but ive never been pregnant before or had a baby. Can u tell me whats wrong

Hi thanks for the query.

5 days early period is not a big problem. This much variation in menstrual cycle can occur due stress, dietary changes or mild illness.Normal cycles are between 25to 35 days cycle. If your periods are too much irregular, then you need proper investigation including complete blood profile, blood glucose,thyroid profile, coagulation profile and USG of uterus and adnexa to find a cause of your problem.Your irregular periods and milky breast may be related to each other also.

Milk discharge from breast may be normal or indicator of some serious problem and it needs a complete investigation including breast examination and serum prolactin levels first of all.Further treatment will depend on their reports.
