Excessive Abdominal Distension With Nausea, Vomiting, Foul Smelling Flatulence, Fatigue. History Of Treatment For H Pylori. Help

I am suffering from excessive upper and lower abdominal distension accompanied some of the time with nausea vomiting and also very foul smelling flatulence. I have recently finished my third course of triple therapy for h pylori and that is now clear but the symptoms are getting worse. I am also very tired and depressed all the time with no energy what do you think might be wrong. I have also had a very bad back ? sciatica ? bulging disc for about six weeks although this seems to be resolving now

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Dear friend,

Thanks for posting your query on this website. I can fully appreciate your concern for problem.

Failure to respond to 3 courses of anti-H.pylori therapy, should prompt your doctor to explore other possibilities such as gastroparesis, partial obstruction of intestine or any growth within the intestine.

The commonest cause in India is worm infestation. You may therefore take Tab xxx400 = one tablet (to be chewed and then swallowed with water) daily for 3 days. If there is no response, please get colonoscopy done to exclude/confirm presence of any stricture/growth in the intestine.

I am highly optimistic that you will certainly benefit from the advice.

May I assure you that I am always available for your assistance and will try my best to cure your condition to the best of my experience and knowledge.

Please feel free to revert back to me in case of further clarifications, if any.

HAVE A NICE DAY AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY.

Fond Regards,

Dr.(Col) R Karanwal
