Experiencing Cramps After Having Sex

Hi, I had my period on 11/8/12 and I have been trying too conceive since then. Well, it started bout 3day ago, everytime we finish having sex, I cramp. today I saw really light pink I guess blood when I wiped. It only last bout hr. Don t know wts going on? Help

Thanks for writing in.

Cramps after sexual intercourse occurs mainly due to the sudden contraction of muscles. Endometriosis also results in very painful cramping during menstruation and causes pain during deep penetration during sex. If it is happening regularly then you should consult your gynecologist and get an ultrasound scan of pelvis done if necessary. This will rule out any condition such as endometriosis. You may use heat pads or have a wrm muscle to soothe the muscles after sex and prevent cramps.
