Experiencing Pain Due To Scar Tissue Attached Outside The Colon

I just got out of the hospital after 14 days because I had scar tissued attached to the outside of my colon. This was a
very painful situation . I wanted to know why this happens and if there was anything I could do to avoid this happening again. Thanks for any information you can give me on preventing this.

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If this is the adhesion you are talking about then it may be surgical condition and it need to be managed in that way only, this might be happening due to infection. But the exact cause of the adhesion can only be known after the exploration, you have not provided the enough clinical information, else something specific could have been advised.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain Shaikh
