Fainted After Cutting Finger, Dizziness, Confusion, Blurred Vision, Pain Behind Ears. Causes For Symptoms?
I almost collapsed and blacked out in the shower, after cutting my finger really badly on accident, the water was a little warmer than lukewarm. I managed to stumble out of the shower and to my room on time, and the dizziness and confusion and vision problems cleared after lying on the floor for awhile. However my head is still pounding, and there is pain behind my ears, and I m still shaking a little. What happened to me?
General & Family Physician, Dr. Anuj Dan's Response
Hi,
Thank you for posting your question here, I will try to answer it to the best of my abilities.
It seems like you suffered a vasovegal response, it is quite a common occurrence and happens to alot of people when they see blood. I am sure you've heard of people fainting at the sight of blood. So dont worry about it, you should be back to normal in a matter of hours.
I hope this helped.
