Fainting Episode. Tingling In Left Leg, Arm, Dehydration, Chest Heaviness. Taking Albuterol. Multiple Sclerosis?
My daughter fainted on the subway on Tuesday. Just before, she reported tingling in her left leg and arm . On Wednesday, after a similar feeling at school, my wife and I took her to the ER. Her urine indicated that she was a little dehydrated. Her MRI was normal. The weakness has persisted and late this afternoon, she fell after her leg gave out. She said that this was precipitated by heaviness in her chest, which was helped by albuterol. Could this be multiple sclerosis?

Hi, Thank you for posting your query. The symptoms suggest a brain disease and is not specific for multiple sclerosis (MS). It is very unlikely that your daughter has MS with normal MRI. The reports of MRI are always abnormal in MS. The most likely cause in this case could be seizures. EEG would be useful in confirming that.
