Fall Causing Jammed Toe, Scraped Knee, Headache And Nausea. Could This Be Indication Of Blood Clot In Brain?

I fell hard, face down, today and other than jamming my toe , scraping my knee and jolting my entire 65-yr. old body, I got up feeling lucky to not have broken any bones. I had a headache soon afterward and am now nauseous. If I did not hit my head directly, is it still possible to end up with a blood clot in or around the brain? Suzy

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your post, it seems that you might have suffered from concussion injury. Other possibility can be that your neck muscles have been strained as a result of the impact, leading to your symptoms.

Blood clot seems unlikely. Still you should get yourself clinically examined and investigated.
A CT or MRI of head and neck will be helpful.

Complete rest will quicken the recovery.
You can take painkiller like Ibuprofen twice daily after meals along with an antacid like Omeprazole 40 mg once daily and Domperidone 10 mg for relief from your symptoms.

I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
