Family History Of Celiac Disease. Chicken Like Skin On Arms. Need To Find Specialist?
I was just reading an article on Celiac Disease, and I have several of the symptoms, the one that caught my eye was the chicken like skin on my arms. My mother had celiac also, and my family doctor treated her, but she was never told anything about a gluten free diet, she was just given some kind of shot once a month. My question is this, do I by-pass my family doctor and find a specialist on my own?

as per you question yes you have the right to select your own doctor. As you have a family history too of celiac disease. so better have your self checked for it. there is no harm in getting screened.
find any specialist you like. infact had you provided your location i might have helped you finding some good nearby gastro enterologists.
