Feeling Cold And Chill All Over Body

I started getting cold like symptoms a week ago. Then it turned into a fever of 101.2 with chills and body aches for two days. Then the fever subsided but my body tempature is lower than usual now 97.4 and after a week and a half the cold like symptoms still have not gone away. I am still congested and stuffy/runny nose. Body temp. 97.4

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You are experiencing viral infection. It will take up to 3 weeks for the symptoms to subside.

I advise to:
- take plenty of fluids (tea, juice, water)
- take pain killers (acetaminophen/ibuprofen)
- do oral gargle with water and salt
- take 1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of honey in the morning
- take vitamin C supplementation
- eat more fruits, vegetables and light soups

Wish fast recovery!
