Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding a painful lump behind the tragus of ear. It is so tender that palpation of it is extremely painful.

Your clinical history favors for acute otitis externa, this may be furunculosis or fungal infection.

For treatment point of view you should take-

1- Tab Paracetamol.

2- Ear drop containing antibiotic + antifungal + analgesic and steroid.

3- Avoid oil or water in ear.

Probably above treatment will give you relief but any how if you do not feel better after above treatment than consultation with ENT doctor will become necessary to avoid further complications.

Regards.
