Feels Like Pins And Needles In Ankle, Had Sprained Ankle. History Of Torn Ligaments, Cracked Bone. Suggestions?

Hello
Today, while walking the dog, I sprained my ankle.
I put my whole weight, while running, onto it.
The pain slowly disappeared after the fist shock but when I got home, it quickly came back as the foot started to swell. I applied a cold bandage and put one some cream that apparently helps inflamed muscles. I put the foot up onto a chair. About an hour later, my foot has suddenly started to have pins and needles in it. Is there anything abnormal about that?
I have previously had some torn ligaments and a cracked bone in my ankle.
Thank you for your help

WIsh you good health. If you have any question I ll be glad to help.
Usually this is just temporary nerve and vessel compression due to swelling. YOu should not feel loss of sensation and inability to move foot and toes. In this case go to doctor immidiately. ALso tingling can be caused by cold compresses so use it periodically few minutes and then wait till ankle warms up. WIsh you good health.
