Feet Have Been Severely Swollen. What Could Be The Cause And Treatment?

my feet have been severly swollen for like the past two to three weeks and nothing is helping im scared ive been drinking lots of water and wearing compression socks and i think its making me feel sick, i even have been putting my feet up and mesaging them and the swelling hasnt even attempted to go down. what is happening and what should i do?

Hello,

Edema of the foot may be due to many reasons depending on whether it is unilateral or bilateral.

Most commonly trauma, varicose veins, heart disease(CCF) and kidney disease produce edema.

Avoid standing and sitting for long time.

Keep your legs in raised position when ever you rest.

Consult your doctor to find the cause of edema because treatment is based on the cause.
