my mother fell about 2 days ago. we went to the hospital yesterday and they x rayed her shoulder and knees. she has no breaks or fractures. she did bump her head but her hospital was not concerned about that because she doesn't have a bump or cut . but today I notice that her right eye was blood shot and it seems to be getting worse. what should I do?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The blood shot red eye is due a hemorrhage in the area. This usually clears up on its own in 2 weeks without any treatment. If there is no headache or neurological deficit then there is nothing to worry.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
